Deepen Cooperation and Promote Common Growth——The SELC’s Follow-up Visit to Ziwu Junior High School
Updated: 2025-11-28

To accurately know interns’ work and consolidate university-enterprise cooperation, on the afternoon of November 27th, the internship supervision team of ECLC, composed of teachers Zhao Ling and Li Donghua, went to the practice base at Ziwu Junior High School for a special follow-up visit under the leadership of Department Chair Wang Yinghui. This visit comprehensively understood the performance of the interns, listened to the suggestions from the cooperative institution, and laid a solid foundation for optimizing subsequent internship work and deepening cooperation.

First, the team had an in-depth discussion with Principal Li of Ziwu Junior High School. During the talk, Principal Li highly praised the interns sent by the college, stating that they not only have a solid professional foundation to quickly adapt to various teaching assistant tasks, but also can successfully complete teaching work. In daily work, they also strictly abide by the school’s rules and regulations, demonstrating excellent professional quality. “These students have greatly alleviated the workload of the supervising teachers. Whether it is assisting in classroom teaching or correcting homework after class, they have completed their tasks meticulously and efficiently,” Principal Li said. Based on the current sound cooperative foundation, the school hopes to further deepen cooperation next semester, expand the scale of accepting interns, and even extend the internship period if conditions permit, so as to better carry out various educational and teaching activities.

Subsequently, the team had face-to-face communication with the internship supervisors at Ziwu Junior High School, inquiring about the interns’ specific performance in teaching practice. The supervisors unanimously praised the work ability of the interns, describing them as “quick-witted and fast-learning.” They can calmly cooperate in handling unexpected classroom situations, and their teaching designs are both creative and practical. Proficient in using modern information technology, they are fully competent in various teaching assistant tasks. At the same time, the supervisors affirmed the training effectiveness of ECLC, noting that the interns have shown outstanding performance in connecting theoretical knowledge with practical abilities, injecting new vitality into the school’s teaching work.

Finally, the team had a talk with the on-the-job interns. They happily shared their internship experiences and expressed that they have gained a lot. “The supervising teachers have imparted teaching experience without reservation, providing patient guidance from lesson preparation skills to teacher-student communication methods, which has helped us quickly achieve the role transition from students to going-to-be teachers,” one intern said. The students stated that through this internship, their teaching practice and problem-solving abilities have been significantly improved, accumulating valuable experience for their future careers.

This return visit not only enabled the internship supervision team to fully know the internship practice, but also deepened the consensus on cooperation with the practice base, laying the foundation for further in-depth cooperation in the future. The internship supervision team will carefully sort out the feedback from the practice base, further optimize the internship training program, and continue to transport high-quality talents to the practice base, so as to achieve win-win results in university-local cooperation.
