Recently, A good news came from the Ministry of Education’s supply and demand docking employment education platform, said that three projects applied by teachers of School of English Language and Culture(SELC) were successfully approved. This not only highlights the professional strength of SELC, but also reflects its excellent achievements in curriculum ideology and politics, moral education and employment education.

In fact, these three projects closely focus on the core courses of National First-Class English major and Provincial First-Class Business English major, combined with the current social demand for talents, through innovative teaching methods and means, ideological and political education throughout the whole process of education and teaching, and realize the organic integration of professional education and ideological and political education. The program aims to cultivate English-speaking talents with solid professional knowledge and skills, as well as high moral character and social responsibility, to make positive contributions to the economic development and international exchanges of our country.

Professor Wang Cong, the provincial dominated teacher and leader of the first-class major, played a leading role in the application process. She said, “We have been committed to combining ideological and political teaching with business English teaching, and improving students’ comprehensive quality and social adaptability by guiding them to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. This project that approved is an affirmation of our work, and it is also the motivation for us to continue moving forward.”
