This past summer holiday was a full-sprint period for the university to pass the undergraduate teaching examination and evaluation with high quality. The teachers at the School of Translation Studies sacrifice their vacations to focus on the crucial task of preparing for the undergraduate examination and evaluation. With the arrival of a new semester as scheduled, the Advanced School of Translation has taken many measures and made careful arrangements to ensure smooth development in all work. We are preparing for the new semester, new goals, and a new journey.
Carefully sort out, clarify responsibilities, and promote the examination and evaluation. Based on the actual situation and experts' feedback from the simulation evaluation in the previous stage, the school held a task arrangement meeting on July 29th. The meeting combed through work effectiveness and existing problems in detail, made explanations regarding ideological understanding, discipline, specialty construction, personnel training quality, teacher team construction, teaching quality, and achievement degree. Additionally, the meeting put forward next steps for college website construction, talents training program revision, teaching design, syllabus, calendar, and cultural atmosphere construction. Every task must have a clear responsibility and should be fully implemented to ensure high standards of quality in the completion process.
Polish the talent training program in a systematic manner. The head of the school, the director of the teaching and research section, and the office staff sorted out all the teaching courses and teaching systems from the past three years. At the same time, teachers were organized to learn from various sources in order to revise the undergraduate talent training program, teaching syllabus, and teaching design according to evaluation standards. Based on the whole process and each link of undergraduate education teaching examination and evaluation, a lot of preparation work has been done from the aspects of self-evaluation report preparation, status data analysis report, online evaluation by experts, on-the-spot investigation and supporting materials so as to promote the continuous improvement of undergraduate teaching quality.
The School of Translation Studies will take this examination and evaluation as an opportunity to carry out the reform of its outstanding talent training system, targeting talent cultivation, specialty construction, ideological and political education, curriculum development, and practical innovation. This will lead to a new situation in teaching reform with deep promotion and multiple breakthroughs.
With a sense of urgency and responsibility, the school will firmly grasp the historical opportunity for higher education development by speeding up ideological innovation, concept innovation, method and technology innovation, as well as mode innovation in personnel training.
