On June 20, 2023, the first Guide Competition of Social Science Popularization Base in Shaanxi Province, also the second social science popularization base guide competition across the country were hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Social Sciences and hosted by the Shaanxi Women and Children’s Activity Center. The semi-final of the Shaanxi competition area player selection competition was held at the Social Science Popularization Base of the Family Style Pavilion in Shaanxi Province.

The theme of this competition is “Creative Transformation and Innovative Development of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture”. The activity aims to learn and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s thoughts on publicity and ideological work, enhances cultural consciousness and confidence, uses the rich cultural relics and cultural resources in various places, explores the ideological concepts, humanistic spirit, and moral norms of China’s excellent traditional culture, and uses China’s excellent creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture demonstrates the influence, cohesion and appeal of Chinese civilization.

A total of 20 contestants from more than 10 universities, museums, and science popularization bases participated in the competition. After fierce competition, Zhang Wanchen, a teacher at the School of Advanced Translation, won the third prize, and Wang Jiali, a guide at the Zhongnan Cultural Science Popularization Base, won the third prize, and Xi’an Fanyi University won the “Excellent Organization Award”.
