On March 20, the School of Translation Studies held a meeting to promote the work of undergraduate education and teaching audit and assessment. Yuan Xiaolu, Dean of the School of Translation Studies, Zhang Rui, Assistant Dean of the School of Translation Studies, Jian Shi, Director of the Administrative Office, Zhao Zheng and Luo Fei, Department Heads, and all the faculty members attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Rui.

At the meeting, Yuan Xiaolu made a brief review of the work of the previous semester. He said that under the leadership of the school board, and with the efforts of all the faculty and staff, the college has overcame the difficulties and successfully completed the work last semester, and he showed heartfeltly thanks to everyone for their hard work. Dean Yuan said that in order to realize high-quality and connotative development, the college should take the work of audit and evaluation carefully and conscientiously. The assessment will affect whether the major development strategies proposed by the school can be realized, and it is related to the personal interests of each and every faculty member. Furthermore, Dean Yuan put forward the following expectations to all teachers. First, it is hoped that all the teachers will be able to promote their work in strict accordance with the school’s overall deployment with the spirit of striving for the best. Second, all the faculty and staff should adhere to the unity and cooperation of the whole school and meet the undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation. Third, we should take the evaluation as an opportunity to promote the construction of national first-class majors and improve the quality of undergraduate training in a comprehensive way. Fourth, the teachers should be clear-minded about their assigned work, carefully study the assessment indicators, study the relevant requirements, and seriously think about the implementation of the approach, both the list of catalogs and supporting materials, as well as a summary report. Fifth, everyone should improve their standpoint, upgrade their concepts, and cooperate with each other. Dean Yuan said that he believed that the audit and assessment work would be successfully completed with the joint efforts of everyone.

Subsequently, Zhao Zheng explained and summarized the problems of last semester’s final online examination, conveyed the spirit of the university’s first teaching work conference of this semester, and reported on the new semester’s teaching operation, the finishing of audit and evaluation materials, and the work of teaching supervision. Zhang Rui meticulously arranged the following evaluation work of the college, and deployed the teaching work of again, requiring teachers to pay attention to the daily teaching work. She also mentioned that the staff in the leadership level of the college should go into the classroom to fully learn about the teaching situation, teaching resources, teachers' and students’ mental state, monitor the teaching quality, and effectively implement the central position of daily teaching work.

The School of Translation Studies attaches great importance to the audit and assessment, and puts this as the top priority of the work of the whole college in 2023. The faculty, students, and staff will take this promotion meeting as an opportunity to further unify their thoughts and actions to the university’s decision-making and deployment, and contribute to the successful passing of the undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation of the university.
